Ugh Mud

Well the drought broke!!! After two days of rain and 45mm in the last 24 hours.... combine that with freshly spread topsoil, and diggers burying septic tanks, and a water truck... and VOILA we have mud!!

Yuk!! I hope we don't get too much more rain before I can add some grass seed and get some grass growing! Otherwise it's going to be a very messy winter.

The dirt around the tank has settled, or washed away, or both! Yikes.


After walking through all the mud I washed my boots in this puddle.


So - the septic tank is now here, and we have drips over where it was supposed to be originally. More grass seed required...
So tomorrow is a big day putting the fence up and painting another couple of posts.. and ignoring the neighbours! Booked a camper van today for a week, so I hope that will be long enough, and also booked all our stuff to be put into storage for a week - well I had to pay for a month which is a whole $100 in Helensville. I hope hope hope hope it doesn't rain tomorrow.
