Heater
Dante has always like electronics. Maybe because they are warm - especially today! I came back inside to find this - he had managed to install Google Toolbar, change my homepage, and forbid all scripts on all pages (even my favourites).

How's this looking
Great photo hey - I took it yesterday morning as the sun was coming up. I was up doing the yards and had just let the boys out. It was all foggy.
Even the birds weren't quite sure what to do so sat on the fence. lol.
Here's some more daylight photos of the tiles, apart from the dust all over them, they look great.
The door has been painted - it's not quite as bright as this - but the flash went off as it was dark already.

No rain - yay
I let the boys into the middle paddock today to give the track a chance to recover after all the rain. The ducks still have their duck pond but in a couple of days I think that will be gone too. What will they do then?
We went to Midas Tiles again today to decide about the wall behind the kitchen bench and the splash back. So we decided on the tile on the right with the patterns tiles as the splash back. The lady there is so clever. We always think it's going to be so hard and she makes it so easy. I love it!
George did some more raking on the bank and sowed the last part of the grass seed - just the south side to go. Garbo wanted a scratch (probably with the rake). This is Erik doing a grand job of the tiles in the dining room - next the entry! He started on the en suite shower today too.

Sorry about the shocking photo
The family room and kitchen are all tiled now and so just the dining room to go on this side of the house. Then the bathrooms.
The tiler leaves after dusk so I had to take this photo just with my camera flash in the dark - hence the shocking photo. I might sneak in early tomorrow for some more photos.
No rain today thank goodness.

Kitchen floor
The tiler did the kitchen floor today and inside the pantry and part of the family room floor too. Gosh it's a pain-staking process!
Hard to believe it was sunny yesterday because we have had 24 hours of drizzle since 6pm last night and more due tonight and tomorrow morning - good for the grass seed but very boring for my paddocks.

Sunny day ending in some rain
This photo is our bedroom in the morning. Nice and sunny. The whole place is sunny actually, we were sitting in the family room today and it was so hot - even with the door open.
We did some more raking and grass seed sowing today before the rain arrived. It was forecast to rain from 3pm but we have only had a teeny bit of light rain and drizzle so far - fingers crossed the worst of it goes round us. It's 6pm now.
The west wing bathroom cabinet is in.

Lovely autumn day
You can see Helensville is in the fog but this was 7am this morning when I let the boys out of the yards. Thanks goodness we had some sunshine today! No rain all day!
It's a pretty picture isn't it.
The tiler came today and did the floor tiles in the main bathroom - the blue stuff is the water-proofing - we don't have blue walls!

My uncle drove up from Tauranga yesterday to help us sow the grass seed - but it rained soon after he arrived so the soil got quite wet. The stuff closest to the house dried out enough for raking and seeding - plus he dug in the paving stones for me, and we have seed on the stuff closest to the house which is a good start. We can do the rest if it dries out a bit this week.
The path goes from the garage to the barn. Cool hey.

Tiles arrived
The tiles arrived today so it looks as though the bathrooms are done and ready for them to start tiling in there first I guess. Looking forward to seeing them down.
Nice fine day today but now it's raining again - shouldn't last too much longer though.

Yards -new sheets
The riding school I used to go to always used to say she was changing the sheets when she dug out the old sawdust completely from a stable and replaced with new stuff. Well I had not done that since I originally put the post peelings in last June, since the boys don't stay in overnight in the Spring and Summer. I have started keeping them in already since it's been a bit wet (to save the paddocks more than anything - also rather than feeding the hay out on the paddocks where it gets wasted, this way they get hay at night and have grass in the day).
So last week we dug out two and have one to go - this is Garbo's and Maraschino's. Just Coco's to go.
This is the area where I have put some lime sand. Doesn't look like much but it's about 6 barrow loads or more.

The kitchen arrives!
We decided on laminate rather than granite this time because we were always polishing the bloody stuff last time and breaking glasses on it - and this looks just fine. As George said - if we really want to later we can change it.
.
The mud is nearly dry now so hoping (fingers crossed) AC Diggers can come on Monday if the rain holds off. Lovely day today and some wind too which always helps dry things out.
