Moving the babies

Today we decided to move the yearlings because tomorrow is going to be one busy day! Michelle drove her float to Royal Oak and loaded Scribble and then Maraschino – he was a bit unsure at first but his buddy was on there so in the end he went on really well. He kept pawing the ramp thinking about it.

Michelle got in her car and it wouldn't start!

So we got them off again and I went and filled up with some diesel and came back and hooked my car up to Michelle's float. Then I drove them up and they travelled really well. We had to do a really big squeeze game through the gate way as there was a truck unloading steel right in the gateway to our place. I had parked the float in the neighbours who are building, driveway. Maraschino was a little head high but nothing too bad. He didn't try and walk all over me or anything. Through the squeeze he ran through the last bit but not towards me (good boy). And then they just started grazing once in the paddock!

Tim was at the farm doing his post and rail from the yards to the track. It means I will have somewhere to dry covers and the boys can itch themselves on the posts there if they need to. It's starting to look really nice. The inside of the Electrobraid track is up now.
