It was to be a big day for Clifton today.. He arrived early as planned and started filling in the hole around the water tank. While he did his magic with his digger, Vicki and I put together NZ's first Caboodle ! I know.. "What the hell is a caboodle?" It is an enclosure designed especially for cats. We got one so the cats could stay outside and not roam off or get into any fights or trouble while the settle in. It also means that they can go outside any time they like without us worrying about them. We will eventually have it connected to the cat door in the barn. The construction was quite simple really and the end result is quite cool and is quite "low viz" so it isn't an eye sore.
Now for what was Really going on !!
Clifton moved the big piles of topsoil from the front of the Barn into the pond area. It looks a lot better now.. looks like rain though. It never actually arrived even though we thought it would bucket down at one stage.
Pond scone.. er no.. I mean... Pond's Gone.. Clifton spent a lot of today filling this in so we can complete the fencing.
Here's the tank back filled.. Clifton didn't compact the fill since its such a new tank.. good idea.. so we will let it sit for 6 months or so and the rain (what rain?) can do the work for us.
