And we've had heaps of rain...the paddocks along the highway have already flooded twice.

Baking day

I made some gingerbread men and chocolate cupcakes today. I picked two oranges off one of our mandarin trees (long story) and made orange icing for them all tonight. Dante was helping. Crap icing bag split on first use! Gotta go to Millys!

some farmers are dingbats

Dante helping me do my new website.

These guys next door drilled grass seed into this paddock you can see across the back of Garbo - now one big mud lake - and then left the cows in there for 2 days!!! Plus - can you see the leak in the pipe leading to the trough - they must have cut this while drilling - but that was weeks and weeks ago - and it's rained over 200mm since then - have they had it fixed? NO.

Some sun again

Well, just like last year -we had alot of rain suddenly at the end of May. The grass is looking very green - and it's still been warm (mainly North Westerlies) so the grass has been growing well.

In fact the last few days have been so warm I have had to have the doors open all day - in the winter the sun is so much lower so we get so much more sun in the house.

George has gone out to get fresh bread and eggs so we can have egg sandwiches for lunch - yum. His friend is going to take away our last two remaining piles of topsoil soon so we'll be able to sow some grass and that's the last messy bits done then, we'll plant some more trees along the fence-lines and it should look pretty good.
