We got another 80m of irrigation pipe today and a few more joiners, after Mitre 10 had sold out we got them from Placemakers. We finished laying out the piping and then George joined them all up, and then to the hose. We then put the drip fittings below each tree, in the pipe. Turned the hose on and it all worked just fine.
We left it on for about an hour and half and then gave each tree a cup of seaweed soil tonic.
It's great to have it all set up now as it takes ages to water normally. 52 trees take a while. So now all we need to do is connect the hose and turn on the tap.
George tried out the HCL acid on the garage floor and it worked a treat (etching so he can paint the floors).
That's it for today! Back to work tomorrow -then the next day the house starts. The area is starting to look dry now - and no rain forecast for any time soon.
