The riding school I used to go to always used to say she was changing the sheets when she dug out the old sawdust completely from a stable and replaced with new stuff. Well I had not done that since I originally put the post peelings in last June, since the boys don't stay in overnight in the Spring and Summer. I have started keeping them in already since it's been a bit wet (to save the paddocks more than anything - also rather than feeding the hay out on the paddocks where it gets wasted, this way they get hay at night and have grass in the day).
So last week we dug out two and have one to go - this is Garbo's and Maraschino's. Just Coco's to go.
This is the area where I have put some lime sand. Doesn't look like much but it's about 6 barrow loads or more.
