Just showers today

Finally it looks as though there may be a let up in the rain for a few days at least. That means just occasional showers wedged into fine spells. First of which we had today. These were taken about 11am after the worst of the heavy showers subsided.

I put electric tape all round the house paddock and then added on this area by the gate which needs a trim. They have never grazed here before so it's virgin grass! Needless to say they spent most of the day at this end of the strip. The house paddock is still quite wet but so is the track so I thought they may as well eat this grass - it's just sitting there waiting for us to get a lawn mower - and we have two perfectly good ones already!




It was nice to see them grazing on some grass in the sun today. That's one thing about having the warmer temperatures - the grass is definitely still growing.
