Early July and it's sunny - pinch me!It was even a glorious day for my birthday (also the anniversary of owning Garbo - 5 years)... I can't recall a really sunny clear day on my birthday for a while. Makes such a difference.
Got an amazing quote for a round pen so guess what - that's going in next week before he changes his mind or figures out he's done his maths wrong! When I said it was 60ft diameter he didn't know what I meant.... what do they learn at school these days... George told me (while I was talking on the phone) to tell him the formula for working out the circumference - I shook my head... that wasn't going to work LOL.
It means in winter I'll be able to ride in there and work on stuff and also start Maraschino - yay - so exciting.
I had a lovely birthday - we went out for breakfast in Kumeu and they brought my crepes out with a candle! Then we had lunch in Kingsland with Shawn and family. Then we had takeaway Thai for tea - man it was about 3 degrees colder in Kumeu than here! I couldn't get over how cold it was there just going from the car to the restaurant.
Jean was here last week so she stayed one night and we had a nice dinner when George got back from work... it was really foggy that morning....
The next day we went to Ponsonby (it rained all day) and had lunch with Shawn and Carlos. Don't tell Carlos but it was the pub.
