I know! You would think we were missing in action wouldn't you - judging by the lack of blogs. Just a busy month - can't believe how fast it's gone, and up until Wednesday - gorgeous sunny weather and a high of 23. Had some much needed rain for the last few days. I was beginning to think we would need hay daily from next month.
I also got a Mac so have been transferring data over from my laptop, passwords for websites - I have soooo many! And files, and photos.... your whole life practically - on your computer!
Mum arrived from Australia at the end of August and stayed here a night and then went down to Tauranga to stay with her sister, and returned here on Wednesday (yes the day it started raining) and I took her to the airport on Friday morning.
While she was here we visited the AWA nursery in Muriwai and got some Karakas for next to the yards, and some pittosporums for the gaps in the tree row along the side of the orchard. And a lemon tree. I also got a veggie garden bed, so once that's set up and I add some of my lovely compost that's cooking, I can start growing some stuff!
I planted some herbs in a new pot (and an old one)...oregano, coriander, italian parsley and a strawberry plant.
This is a shot of the rainbow yesterday from the wash bay - pretty cool huh. The top photo is obviously a zoomed in version. Must get a new camera - getting sick of that black spot in my pictures now.
The grass is starting to grow now, and daylight saving starts tomorrow.
And lastly, today the heat-pump stopped working. So we will need to get someone out to have a look at that next week - just as well it's not cold.

Yes you have been MIA I was starting to worry that you weren't going to blog again, but life can just get in the way sometimes.
Love the pic with the rainbow. We are having some weird weather atm.
I see the boy has another new toy , but very sensible when you have so much grass.
